Save on Alcohol at Atlantis

There are 2 “happy hour” times while at Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas. These times are 2-4pm and 5-7pm. These drink specials are only offered at certain locations on the Atlantis. Click here to to see the current list. These are the best times to save on alcohol at Atlantis.

It is important to note that the Atlantis website lists the Lagoon Bar and Grill on the 5-7pm sunset hour drink special list. While we were visiting, the Lagoon Bar & Grill closed at 5pm. So, this drink special did not exist. We were there in the off season so maybe this is only available during peak travel times. Luckily, when we asked directions to the Lagoon Bar & Grill an employee advised us it was closed. I would have been so upset if we had walked all the way there and found out it closed at 5pm! It is a little further from the Royal where we were staying. Plus, with a stroller, Atlantis is not the easiest place to navigate.

Drink Specials: Save on Alcohol at Atlantis

The drinks that have savings at Atlantis vary location to location. We stayed at the Royal and Plato was right downstairs. From 2-4pm they had Eloulan Pinot Noir on special for $8. This glass of wine is $17 outside of these hours. So it is less than half the cost during the “social hour.”

There were certain beers on special for $5 and certain cocktails for $10. I stuck to wine but my husband enjoyed the local Sands beer and Rum Runner cocktails during Atlantis social hour. I also know that there was a sparkling and a white option on the “social hour” list.

Sunset Hour at Atlantis

We tried 3 different venues for sunset hour at Atlantis, Sip Sip, Shake Shack, and Sun and Ice.

I tried red wine at Sip Sip and Sun and Ice. The red wine at Sip Sip was disgusting and I could not even finish it. It is listed as the house red wine. I do not know what that is and did not look. It was terrible. I forget which red wine was offered at Sun and Ice but it was better. Sun and Ice is super convenient to those staying at the Coral. It is located in their lobby! That would be my go to spot during that time if we stayed at the Coral.

Shake Shack Atlantis

Atlantis Shake Shack

Shake Shack was out of the red wine on sunset special and did not offer substitutions. I had the white and it was pretty good. And that is coming from a red wine drinker. The Shake Shack was a perfect sunset hour spot for us because we could eat dinner and grab a drink special. They are in separate areas The bar area is 18 years plus so my husband went to get a drink while I ordered dinner for the family. In my opinion, Shake Shack is one of the best dining experiences at Atlantis because The Dig Aquarium is in the restaurant. Do not visit Atlantis without a visit to Shake Shack!

I read in a lot of blogs that they stopped on the way to Atlantis to buy alcohol to save money. This was not an option for us as we had a shared transfer. For us, the best way to save on alcohol at Atlantis was to take advantage of the specials at the end of the day. Well, at least the end of the day when you have kids that go to sleep early!
