Weekend getaway in New England’s Camden Maine

Quite possibly my favorite town in the state of Maine, Camden offers so much! We visited a couple times and I would still love to go back.

Where we stayed in Camden Maine

Towne Motel

This hotel was perfect for our quick trip to Camden. We were able to rent the pet friendly studio suite and take along our lab for this trip! The room came with a small kitchenette, fridge, and futon that we let Onyx sleep on. The location is just outside of the town but still within walking distance.

Camden Riverhouse Hotel and Inn

We stayed at this hotel the first trip to Camden when I was 7 months pregnant with my first child. The location could not be better, located right downtown. The hotel offers and indoor pool, picnic area, and free onsite parking! It also comes extremely well reviewed especially if bringing children.

This brewery is located in the heart of town off the main rd. It offers a wide array of food and drinks on the menu. Extremely laid back and a great place you can bring your kids into.

Camden deli

If you are looking for a sandwich place for lunch, highly recommend Camden Deli. Not only is the food phenomenal, you can sit and take in the amazing harbor from your table!

The waterfront restaurant

For a good dinner spot check out The Waterfront Restaurant. Just a short walk from town located right on the water, this place offers some delicious seafood!

The pizza was great at this place! We were able to snag an outdoor table on a perfect summer day!

The View at 16 Bay view

We enjoyed an early dinner, drinks, and appetizers at the rooftop bar at 16 Bay View.

Camden Deli

One of my favorite things to do in Camden is grab a sandwich from Camden Deli and have a picnic in the nearby park overlooking the water. I have so many fond childhood memories of doing this after a day of shopping.

Knock out two things at this place! Grab a delicious coffee and a book to read on the water!

Hiking

There are numerous trails that offer breath taking sites. Check out Camden Hills State Park that can offer everything you need in the mountains.

The beautiful town of Camden offers some of the best local shops you will find in New England. You can spend hours just popping in all the stores.

Looking to get out on the water and take in the beautiful sunset? Look at this tour that offers cocktails, beer, and wine while sailing on an amazing sailboat.

parks and harbor

There are parks all around Camden including one right next to the harbor that is absolutely perfect for family pictures!
